I have been in AshevilleNorth Carolina for 4 days. I am here to baby sit for Max my nephew while my brother and sister in law are in Hawaii. They left yesterday and are returning next Saturday.
My flight over here on Wednesday was terrible…I am usually a pretty good flyer but on both flights I felt sick…and the second one resulted in me puking as soon as I got off the plane.
My sister in law picked me up from Charlotte, NC and we made our way to there amazingly beautiful home up in the Asheville Mountains. Prior to this trip I had never been to North Carolina…from what I have seen of it…I am in love! It's gorgeous.
The day after I arrived my sister in law brought me around to show me the lay of the land…we went to the hopping downtown area and she treated to the most amazing pedicure (a belated b-day present).Of course I choose some whore red color for my toes…
We also went to this old book store where I had the most amazing chai latte…starbucks can bite my ass (sorry honey).
We had sushi take-out for dinner that night which was very very very good.
I went to sleep that night and could hear the rain start to fall but it was real loud…I looked out my window and realized it was ice….Ice Storm isn't in a girl from South Louisiana's vocabulary. Anne and Lance where able to leave on time fro there 6 Am flight…but Max's school was closed until 10 AM. …Max still woke u p at 6:15 AM.
So we took it easy I asked him what cartoon would he like to watch…he answered "what are my options" …something about a 4 year old saying that makes me laugh….he decided on curious George after two episodes …the men in the yellow hat and George were wearing on my nerves.
I got him dressed and dropped him off at school it was freezing outside. I stopped at the store and bought me two trash magazines and headed home for some ultimate relaxation.
had two magazines in hand and yes one of them had Mary Kate Olsen on the cover so the fudge what I am a grown up and I can read trash if I want to the other was O magazine and yes Oprah was on the cover.
I got back to the house and decided to take a nice Jacuzzi bath in Anne and Lances bathroom b/c I don't have one at my house and when in Rome…
The Jacuzzi was going along fine until I decided to add bubble bath to it….it was like something out of the cartoons…the bubble took over and I had to surrender.
After the Battle of the Bubbles. I lounged around the house and talked to Ben.
Where was Ben you may ask?
He was in Louisiana his LSAT was the next day after the test he was driving to come meet me. So I gave him more word of encouragement….like "you better pass so I can be married to a rich lawyer and host teas on the weekends"
The rest of the day was pretty uneventful I picked up Max from school and we headed in for the night.
