Pick up the Change

I love where I am from…I love the Cajun culture the food the music and the ghastly hot summers.
But its time to go…..for a while at least.
I am packing boxes of books for the move…
Where are we going…not sure yet.
Waiting for the letter to tell us our destination for the next three years.
I am glad I have a friend in al this…Ben is the best.
What's life if you never take candy from a stranger, never leave your home and make a life miles and miles away, or just stay stuck motionless.
I will be back in school finishing for finishing sake.
I think home is not what it used to be to me….not my parents home or Bens home in Montegut…
I am ready for a new place…a new home.

I creep through the valleys
And I grope through the woods
'cause I know when I find it my honey
It's gonna make me feel good

I love everything
So don't it make you feel sad
'cause I'll drink to you, my baby
I'll think to that, I'll think to that.

Miles from nowhere
Not a soul in sight
Oh yeah, but it's alright

I have my freedom
I can make my own rules
Oh yeah, the ones that I choose
